Configuring the Adapter

The adapter software is installed as part of a standard installation of TA. However, perform these steps to license and configure the adapter before you can schedule and run BODS jobs:

• Licensing an Adapter – Apply the license to the adapter. You cannot define a BusinessObjects Data Services connection until you have applied the license.

• Securing the Adapter – Define BusinessObjects Data Services users that the adapter can use to establish authenticated sessions with the BusinessObjects Data Services server and permit requests to be made on behalf of the authenticated account.

• Using WinAD or LDAP Authentication – Configure authentication as necessary for your environment.

• Configuring the HTTPS Protocol – Configure the HTTPS protocol if used in your environment.

• Defining a BODS Connection – Define a connection so the master can communicate with the BusinessObjects Data Services server.
